You
can help us support women in need by donating baby food, maternity and
baby clothing (size 0-3T) and items for children. We accept drop-offs
at our W. Michigan location from 10am-4pm weekdays. We are always in
need of volunteer advisers, receptionists,
mentors, and board members, as well as church liaisons to help us in
raising funds and experts in medical and financial fields to teach
life-skills classes. If you want to help, please call Bonnie at
345-1740. The success of Alternatives is based on the prayers of God's
people. Your prayers, for us and for the women involved in difficult
situations, are essential.
Our
Mission
To reach our community with the Gospel of Jesus Christ by offering hope
and meeting physical, emotional, and spiritual needs that safeguard the
rights, dignity, and health of unborn children and their parents.
Our
Faith
We believe...
- that God created
the heavens and the earth.
- that God's Son,
Jesus Christ, was conceived by the
Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, was crucified, died and was
buried. He rose again on the third day and ascended into heaven and is
seated at the right hand of God. He will one day return to judge the
righteous and the unrighteous.
- in the work of
God, the Holy Spirit, by whose
indwelling the Christian is able to live a godly life and to perform
work for the kingdom of God.
- that the Bible
is the inspired, infallible and
inerrant authoritative Word of God.
- in the sanctity
of human life as created by God, and
in the worth of that life from the point of conception to natural death.
