How can I help at Alternatives?

There are many ways that you can volunteer at Alternatives on a weekly or monthly basis. There are also special events that require extra hands. If you can’t volunteer on a regular basis, the opportunity of helping run one of our events might be the perfect thing for you. You can help as much or as little as you desire. Please reference our help page to see what area would best fit the time and abilities that you have to offer.

Can your center give me a 3D ultrasound?

The answer is no, at this time we are not able to do a 3D ultrasound, but our machine is very advanced and can produce high quality 2D black and white "traditional" images. Every client gets to take home several of these pictures as a keep sake.

Does a doctor look at my ultrasound exam?

All the scans performed by the pregnancy center are reviewed by an OB-GYN, Dr. Lavery. He has been practicing medicine for many years and is well qualified to read these ultrasounds. Every client recieves a follow-up call after her appointment, and if the doctor has noted anything significant, she will be informed at that time.

Do I need to make an appointment for a pregnancy test?

No, but you can make one if you need to be seen at a certain time.

Do you perform abortions?

No, but we will provide you with a lot of information about the different types of abortions and the physical and emotional risks involved. We will also provide you with information on alternatives to abortion.
